Cooking Safety

• Stay in the Kitchen: Never leave cooking food unattended. If you leave the kitchen, take a timer with you.

• Avoid Cross-Contamination: Use separate cutting boards and utensils for raw turkey and other foods to prevent the spread of bacteria.

• Cook Turkey Thoroughly: Ensure the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Use a food thermometer to check.

• Thaw Safely: Thaw the turkey in the refrigerator, in cold water, or in the microwave, not on the counter.

• Keep Food at Safe Temperatures: Keep hot foods hot (above 140°F) and cold foods cold (below 40°F)
